The health tourism fair brings together hospitals and medical centers that are part of Spain Cares.
Biosalud Day Hospital has presented its Medical Wellness and Medical Diseases programs.
During the third edition of the Fitur Salud fair, held as part of the international tourism fair Fitur, it became clear that the commitment to integrative medicine is a distinguishing feature due to its approach and effective response to autoimmune and infectious diseases, among others.

Biosalud Day Hospital is currently participating in a meeting that brings together all the private healthcare organizations that are part of Spain Cares and offer the quality of Spanish healthcare to patients from all over the world.
In Spain, integrative medicine is expanding to meet the growing demand for wellness treatments aimed at achieving well-being and health from a broader perspective. Wellness tourism is a booming sector in our country, as according to the latest data, it has grown by 20%, says Mónica Figuerola, director of Spaincares, a platform that brings together health tourism companies. Spain is among the countries with the highest annual growth prospects in terms of wellness tourism turnover, both in Europe and globally (6.2%).
Integrative medicine offers personalized treatments for patients around the world who seek to improve their quality of life, prevent health problems, and reduce the negative effects of daily stress, says Dr. Mariano Bueno, medical director of Biosalud Day Hospital. It is the only day hospital in Spain specializing in integrative and regenerative medicine with high technology for diagnosis and treatment. Based in Zaragoza, in its more than 30 years it has treated more than 25,000 patients from all over Spain and countries such as Italy, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, France, Japan, Mexico, Argentina, Portugal, the US, Germany, and Belgium, among others, mainly for autoimmune diseases.
The key to this center lies in the application of high technology for the development of biomedical treatments. In the case of autoimmune diseases, we investigate the cause that has triggered each case, using technology such as digital infrared thermography, analyzing genetic load, and eliminating external factors and toxicity that may have activated it. We are also able to regenerate tissue damaged by autoimmune disease," explains Dr. Bueno.
To address the various factors that can contribute to the onset of these conditions, such as stress, they have developed programs that include treatments for people with very demanding lifestyles. These are patients who are already experiencing functional problems such as memory loss and fatigue due to stress and who want to reduce internal deterioration. The techniques used include orthomolecular serum therapy, adrenal mesostimulation, and photon therapy, among others. With these treatments, we can get the most out of the person, according to their genetics, and at all levels, physical and mental," he emphasizes. In addition, they have developed a program for non-professional athletes who undergo genetic testing to determine which sport is best for them based on their metabolism and their nutritional and energy needs.
