Chronic Fatigue

Reference center for the diagnosis and treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

What is chronic fatigue?

Chronic fatigue syndrome is a disease manifested by excessive and prolonged tiredness. This sensation can vary throughout the day and with different intensity depending on the patient, and can even prevent them from getting out of bed. It also presents with muscle pain or headache and is characterized by persistence and lack of relief over prolonged periods of time.

At Biosalud Day Hospital, we have the best medical specialists in chronic fatigue syndrome and we have the most advanced techniques for causal diagnosis and treatment. The personalized integrative and biological medicine protocols for our patients combine therapies in our center, such as serum therapy, cryoelectrophoresis or focal magnetotherapy, among others, and home care guidelines.

Causes of chronic fatigue

Currently, the specific cause of chronic fatigue caused by chronic fatigue syndrome is unknown, although it is linked to a viral infection: the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) or herpes type 6 (HHV-6). The first is the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV); this virus is very common and is an infection that affects mucous membranes such as the eyes, mouth, respiratory tract, genitals, and anus.

The second is the herpes type 6 virus (HHV-6). Infection with this virus in childhood is usually asymptomatic, but in adults it becomes complicated, in some cases causing hepatitis or encephalitis. Age, stress, genetics, and environmental factors also influence the onset of the disease.

Symptoms of chronic fatigue

The primary symptom of chronic fatigue syndrome is persistent exhaustion, even after rest, which limits common daily activities. This fatigue can last for more than 24 hours after exercise, as it worsens with physical and intellectual activity.
It also presents with a sensation of heaviness in the arms and legs, headache and low-grade fever, sore throat, hypertension, or difficulty thinking clearly, in addition to memory loss, insomnia, or depression.

Treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

At Biosalud Day Hospital, we design biological medicine treatments and natural therapies such as phytotherapy -Phsysicalm-, spagyric and orthomolecular medicine, serum therapy with vitamins, oligotherapy, minerals, amino acids, and homeopathic medicines.
