Rheumatoid arthritis in women can be reduced by consuming Omega 3.

Consuming omega-3 fatty acids mayreduce the risk of rheumatoid arthritis in women, according to research from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.

Omega-3 is a good enemy of rheumatoid arthritis.

Rheumatoid arthritis in women can be reduced by consuming Omega 3.

The explanation lies in the fact that the components of omega-3 are used by the body to make molecules that help regulate inflammation, called eicosanoids.

For example, the risk of rheumatoid arthritis in women could be reduced by 29 percent by consuming more than one serving of fish per week.

Daniela Di Giuseppe is the lead author of the research at the Karolinska Institute and states that rheumatoid arthritis causes "joint inflammation, deformities, and disability." In addition, patients with this condition "have a higher risk of coronary heart disease, certain infections, anxiety, depression, and blood cancers such as leukemia."

The incidence of rheumatoid arthritis is higher in women than in men and begins to be noticeable after the age of 60. In addition, lifestyle and genetics can also influence the development of the disease. In this sense, preventing gum disease with good oral hygiene, a proper diet, and not smoking can prevent the onset of rheumatoid arthritis.
