LymePlex Plus test for the diagnosis of Lyme Disease
Blood test based on an ELISA (indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) that provides a quantitative and qualitative in vitro assay to detect human IgM and IgG antibodies against multiple microbial antigens in human serum. However, compared to other ELISA assays, this test also contains a new antigen for persistent forms of Borrelia. It can be used at different stages of the disease and allows the simultaneous determination of IgM and IgG antibodies to various bacterial and viral pathogens. With a high sensitivity of approximately 95% and a specificity of 98%.

The LymePlex Plus test allows the simultaneous determination of IgM and IgG antibodies to three Borrelia species (Borrelia afzelii, Borrelia burgdorferi and Borrelia garinii) including persistent forms, the presence of co-infections (Babesia microti, Bartonella henselae, Ehrlichia chaffeensis, Rickettsia akari) from tick bite or various insect bites, and opportunistic infections such as Coxsackie virus, Epstein-Barr virus, Cytomegalovirus, human Parvovirus B19, Mycoplasma fermentans and Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
It is recommended to combine it with the tests LymeCheck to obtain greater diagnostic certainty.
