Children looking out of a window

The Ministry of Health recommends that mild cases of covid-19 in which there is no added risk due to previous pathology, the convalescence is spent at home and with strict isolation rules. We tell you about them.

What should the place of isolation be like?

  • A properly ventilated room, without going out as far as possible.
  • If you live with other people, avoid keeping distances of less than two metres.
  • Keep hand sanitisers in the room and if you have to share a bathroom, disinfect after each use.

How to prevent infection at home?

  • Wash hands with soap and water.
  • Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing with a tissue and throw it away after each use.
  • Do not share utensils and clean surfaces daily.
  • Wear a mask.

What should the caregiver do?

  • Gloves and mask to avoid any contact with the affected person's secretions.
  • This person should not be in the risk factor group and should do self-monitoring of symptoms.
