Eating fruit and vegetables as a baby reduces food intolerances

Fruits

Researchers at the University of Southampton have discovered that babies who eat a large amount of fruit and vegetables coupled with a reduction of packaged food develop fewer food intolerances throughout his life.

Fruits and vegetables reduce food intolerances

The team led by Kate Grimshaw analysed the diets of 1,140 children through their parents' accounts of their diet. They then compared data from 41 food intolerant babies with 82 who were not intolerant to any food, finding that the latter had a diet rich in fruit, vegetables, chicken and fish. The study has been published in The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

Eating according to your genetics

At Biosalud we are very aware of the importance of nutrition for the health of our patients. to be in good health. That is why we have a unit that is responsible for treating the food intolerances of our patients, whatever their age. We have two main tools for this: food intolerance analysis and Food Gen.

The analysis of food intolerances will allow us to know if the patient is allergic to some three hundred allergens, which is why it is a test that will give us a wide range of information to be able to treat the patient and provide a treatment or a diet to reduce their allergies.

The study of genetics is one of the pillars of Biosalud. That is why we have created the Food Gen analysis whereby we analyse the patient's genes and give them guidelines for eating according to those unique chromosomes that are their irreplaceable genetic inheritance.
