BORRELIA DNA F urine/blood test
Analysis allowing us to detect the existence of pathogenic DNA from the following Borrelia species: (i) Borrelia miyamotoi, (ii) Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato (B. burgdorferi s.s., B. bissetti, B. bavariensis, B. valaisiana, B. afzelii, B. garinii), (iii) relapsing fever (B. hermsii, B. recurrentis, B. crocidurae, B. duttonii).

- Persons who believe they have been bitten by an Ixodes blacklegged tick, and may have been infected with the borrelia burgdorferi bacteria

The Borrelia DNA test can be performed either in urine with a first morning urine sample (prior to ingesting any food or drink) or by drawing 2 EDTA tubes of venous blood.
Venous blood collection will be necessary. We will provide you with all the necessary material to take the sample and return it to our facilities.
Once the samples arrive at Biosalud Day Hospital, we will analyse them and when we have them we will send them to you by email along with our recommendations.
